Studies have shown that tension type headaches / migraines are the most common and sadly around 80% of migraines are associated with tension and stress.
However, research shows that predominantly men suffer from cluster headaches. This type of headache is considered debilitating, as they can occur 1-4 times a day and go on for weeks, even months and then remission sets in for a time and then the cycle can start all over again.
Men with migraines can suffer excruciating pain that can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. The pain tends to be on one side of the head accompanied by eye pain and studies have shown that they are more common in men aged between 25 – 40 years. To reduce and avoid stress is of utmost importance and has been considered the key in minimising migraines. Once again, keeping a diary will be most beneficial in linking your attacks to particular triggers.

The body cannot heal itself when it is being ravaged by prescribed medication.
